Kent James is an American singer, songwriter, and performer.
He is also known as his gay punk rock alter ego "Nick Name".

Originally from Logan, Utah, Kent grew up performing music.
He has shared stages with country stars in Nashville (e.g. Charlie Daniels) and rock stars in L.A. (e.g. Gilby Clarke of Guns N' Roses).
Kent has performed his original songs on TV (CBS, MTV, QTN, TNN) and in film (Hellbent, Nick Name and The Normals).
His press includes numerous publications worldwide (Australia, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Spain, The U.K., The U.S.).

Kent now resides in San Francisco with his Jack Russell Terrier "Scooter".
